day 3-5

South to Seward

Make sure your rental car tank is full and head south along the epic Seward Hwy. This 125 mile journey will take you much longer than 2.5 hrs. In fact, you may just need to stop a few extra times just to pick your jaw up off the floorboard! The stunning scenery is beloved by visitors and locals alike and is a National Scenic Byway.  Be sure to stop in Girdwood, which is known as "One of the most beautiful towns in Alaska", and is less than 10 miles from Prince William Sound. It's also a great spot to view the Bore Tide.
After many stunning stops along the journey, you will arrive in Seward, where mountains, ice, and ocean meet.   The next two days will be filled with adventures to places like Kenai Fjords National Park to see calving glaciers and once in a lifetime wildlife sightings like puffins, Stellar sea lions, breeching whales, and if you're lucky, the orca!
After this incredible journey, you will head back north to Anchorage. Make a stop in Moose Pass and stop at the Moose Drop In Trading Post.  You will thank us later.

So you don't want to drive? Cool! Taking the train is a stress free way of experiencing this area, OR we can arrange for a private transfer that offers a unique tour with several special stops along the way.

Days 1-2

Adventure Anchorage!

The late evening landing might be better when you see the Northern Lights as you arrive into Anchorage. Many travelers to Alaska's largest city, pass through quickly on their way to other areas. However, we have some incredible things to see and do, including a private day tour of the city. Discover the history of the railroads, do some "flight-seeing", fishing, and so much more!

day 6-10

It's Bear Country & Beyond

Depending upon the time of year you visit, we will arrange for you to observe Alaskan brown bears in their natural habitat. Whether it is at the world famous Brook Falls, or deep inside an isolated area that is home to a dense population of black and brown bears, we promise this all day tour is not to be missed!

From Anchorage you will venture north to the town of Talkeetna.  With it's rich history and fun personality, during an afternoon in town, it's not unlikely to cross paths with eccentric locals, professional crafters, artisan ice cream makers, off-the-grid homesteaders, and even elite mountain climbers. Talkeetna is only 60 miles from North America's tallest peak - Denali.

Speaking of Denali...you will leave the eclectic town of Talkeetna and head north to your accommodations just outside of Denali National Park where you will spend your last few days just scratching the surface of this six million acre sub-arctic ecosystem.
